In New Zealand if a town is known for something you're pretty much guaranteed to find a huge version of it somewhere around town. We passed one with a huge wellington boot but I didn't get a chanc to take a picture.We did participate in a friendly wellington boot throwing contest however. Apparently the locals gather to do this once a year. A nowegian girl holds the record with 34m.
This is Brent, our bus driver. He's been great.
The bay in this image is where Peter Jackson was born. We passed through it further on but didn't have time to look around.
The size of the group is being decimated even further here as only a handfull of us are continuing on to the south island tomorrow, therefore we stayed up late and played lots of pool (I really need to get some practice in).
