Is it still consiered early if it is the only time you ever get up at?
Today's destination was Watarrka or King's Canyon for another long walk. Much picture taking ensued.
This fellow greeted those who made it up a fairly steep set of stairs.
During the summer months people swim here at this point of their trek. The temperature now though makes the idea seem completely ludicrous.
Afterwards I had to say goodbye to everyone and grab the coach back to Ayer's Rock Resort (the downside to having been picked up later). I did get to watch random DVDs about the area though. One providing the title of this post.
Back at the Outback Pioneer Hotel I had a huge steak. At the BBQ there, you buy your cut of meat and then cook it yourself on the grills provided. An all you can eat salad bar goes with it. It was a very good if somewhat expensive meal.
