Today we headed to Christchurch, a city more English than England apparently. I could understand this once we got there, but first we would be passing over the hills into the largest flat area in New Zealand and passing by some glacial lakes.
Seagull said we were passing over some high point or another but seeing as it was under 1000m above sea level it didn't seem particularly impressive after South America.
The highlight of the days journey were the two glacial lakes we passed. The water is an insane shade of blue and really cool to look at.
In the evening I went out for dinner with a couple of people who I'd met earlier in the trip. Afterward we went to the bar that our hostel had where a Stray event was being held. Weird stuff ensued that I wont go into...
